Do you have minimum hourly requirements for on-site visits? What about Remote Support?

We do have a minimum hourly rate that is dependent upon the service area for on-site visits. For remote support we have a minimum of 1 hour. 

Who is On-Demand Support for?

On-Demand support is best for small businesses with tight budget constraints or who have internal IT staff that do what our managed services do. On-Demand support is also a great choice for single projects. While our Managed Service clients receive a reduced hourly rate for these projects, if your business has internal IT, don’t have enough technology to require Managed Services, or are on tight budgets that don’t allow you to utilize our Managed Services; On-Demand support for your project is a great choice. 

What are the differences between proactive and reactive support?

Choosing a proactive approach like Managed Services is like having a dedicated IT team working behind the scenes to keep your business running efficiently, while reactive on-demand support is like calling a repair person only when something breaks. Proactive maintenance prevents many things that would have ended up being reactive support calls.

However, we are happy to help small businesses wherever you may be in Massachusetts. How does On-Demand Support differ from Managed Services?

Mainly we respond reactively to support requests. We rely on you telling us what you need rather than us knowing your environment and making recommendations or automatically fixing issues that our monitoring software alerts us to. This also means that our On-Demand support clients are not receiving our 24/7 monitoring, EDR software, backup software, remote access software, or password manager as part of our support. We are more than happy to make recommendations, set up and configure software that you need, and even consult with you regarding your needs. You own and manage your own software stack entirely. The other major difference is that our On-Demand support does not have a discount on the hourly rate that we charge.
